The conversation examines the undercurrent of threat evident in both texts, and how each author creates such a mood. While it can be said that 'Never Let Me Go' is comparatively a more basic and simplistic text than 'Stasiland', Leon's insights into Ishiguro's authorial expertise reveal the depth of the novel's message.
